Scholarships

St. Louis Campus 2008-2009 Scholarships

Chamberlain Citizen Nurse Award-BSN Student

  • Must meet same criteria for President’s Award
  • Requires Essay and Interview
  • Renewable with a 3.6 cumulative GPA
  • Must be active in Student Nurses Association
  • Must participate as a Peer Tutor
  • Must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours per semester
  • Must have graduated within the last 12 months from high school
  • Not eligible for other institutional scholarship

President’s Award-BSN Student

  • Limited number of  half-tuition awards available each year
  • Minimum ACT 25 and 3.40 cumulative GPA
  • Renewable with a 3.40 cumulative GPA
  • Not eligible for other institutional scholarships
  • Must be active in Student Nurses Association
  • Must participate as a Peer Tutor
  • Must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours per semester
  • Must have graduated within the last 12 months from high school
  • Not eligible for other institutional scholarship

BSN Academic Award-New Student

  • Limited number of awards to those who qualify, until funds are exhausted
  • Minimum ACT 22 and 3.25 cumulative GPA
  • Based on cumulative GPA from all attended post-secondary schools

BSN Academic Award-Returning Student

  • Limited number of awards to those who qualify, until funds are exhausted
  • Awarded based on Chamberlain cumulative GPA

ADN Academic Award-New Student

  • Limited number of awards to those who qualify, until funds are exhausted
  • Minimum ACT 22 and 3.25 cumulative GPA
  • Based on cumulative GPA from all attended post-secondary schools

ADN Academic Award-Returning Student

  • Limited number of awards to those who qualify, until funds are exhausted
  • Awarded based on Chamberlain cumulative GPA

Community Service Scholarship

  • 3 Awards per academic year
  • Minimum 2.75 cumulative Chamberlain GPA
  • Required membership in Student Nurses Association
  • Examples of qualifying community service activities: St. Patrick’s Center, Ronald McDonald House, Red Cross, Nurses for Newborns, Susan G. Komen Foundation, various homeless shelters, various religious organizations, etc. (for further clarification on eligible organizations contact Sue Fletcher)
  • Applicants will be judged on hours of service, community activity, faculty interview, and essay on Community Service and Nursing.
  • Not eligible for other institutional scholarships

Peer Tutor Scholarship

  • 4 scholarships per year
  • Minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA
  • Required to work minimum of 5 hours weekly in the Success Center
  • Required to assist in activities to promote the Success Center
  • Renewable with minimum 3.25 GPA
  • Application and interview required with Success Center Sponsor
