Kimberley LaMar – Phoenix Campus Dean

Kimberley LaMar is Chamberlain College of Nursing’s Phoenix Campus Dean. LaMar joins Chamberlain with nearly 30 years of experience in nursing, education and research. LaMar began her nursing career after earning an associate degree in nursing from The University of Toledo. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Lourdes College in Sylvania, OH, her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. After two decades as a staff nurse in the Midwest, LaMar moved to Arizona to join the faculty of Arizona State University where she taught classes on neonatal theory, assessment and pharmacology.
LaMar is considered a specialist in infant and parent-child nursing. She has researched and published extensively on issues related to preterm births and nursing in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Most recently, LaMar served as a Nurse Practitioner at Banner Healthcare in Mesa, AZ and as the associate dean of Advanced Practice/ Graduate Nursing Programs at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix.
