Chamberlain College of Nursing has announced the appointment of Stephanie Stewart, PhD, MSN, as vice president of academic affairs. In this role, Dr. Stewart will oversee strategic direction, academic integrity and standardized implementation of all curricula for Chamberlain College of Nursing's nationwide campuses and online programs with the goal of maintaining the highest level of student achievement.

Chamberlain College of Nursing Featured on Lifetime's 'The Balancing Act' – September 3, 2008
The next edition of The Balancing Act, the television series dedicated to addressing the issues facing today’s professional woman, is scheduled to air on Monday, September 8 at 7 am, 6 am CST, and will feature Susan Groenwald, national president of Chamberlain College of Nursing. Groenwald’s extensive nursing and business experience give her the diverse set of skills required to lead this institution. Having earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Rush University College of Nursing in Chicago with a focus on oncology, Groenwald is the author of numerous articles and has edited five textbooks on cancer nursing, including one that won the American Journal of Nursing Book Award.

Former Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations executive Jan Snow has been appointed campus dean for Chamberlain College of Nursing’s new Addison location. In this role, Snow will oversee ongoing curriculum development and student services, help create and develop clinical partnerships, and manage day-to-day operations at the College.

Chamberlain College of Nursing announced that it has signed formal agreements for the provision of clinical opportunities for Chamberlain students with more than 10 local hospitals and healthcare providers, including members of the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association. Members include Casa Grande Regional Medical Center, HealthSouth, La Paz Regional Hospital, Maricopa Medical Center and Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

Chamberlain College of Nursing to Open Phoenix Campus in March 2008 — January 2, 2008
Signaling further progress toward its national expansion goals, St. Louis-based Chamberlain College of Nursing announced today that it received approval from the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education to establish a new campus in Phoenix and will begin offering classes in March 2008. The Board approved Chamberlain’s application at its December 11 meeting. Chamberlain had previously received approval for its expansion plans from the Arizona Board of Nursing on November 14.

Chamberlain College of Nursing is pleased to announce that its Dean of Nursing Programs, Gail Baumlein, former resident of Mansfield and current resident of Westerville, has been inducted into the National League for Nursing’s (NLN) Academy of Nursing Education, with the credential of Fellow. She joins the academy’s 41 inaugural fellows, representing 33 nursing schools and programs throughout the United States.

Chamberlain College of Nursing Announces New National Dean of Nursing Programs — May 30, 2007
Chamberlain College of Nursing announced the appointment of Gail Baumlein as national dean of nursing programs. In this role, Baumlein, who will be based at Chamberlain’s new campus in Columbus, Ohio, will oversee ongoing curriculum development and nursing program delivery. In addition to curriculum development, Baumlein will ensure consistent delivery of curricula at each campus, and will be responsible for fostering faculty development. She will also assist the national clinical coordinator in developing and growing clinical partnerships for the College’s St. Louis, Mo., and Columbus campuses, as well as its online associate degree in nursing program.

Chamberlain College of Nursing to Open Columbus Campus — January 22, 2007
Chamberlain College of Nursing announced today that it has received approval from the Ohio Board of Regents to establish a new campus in Columbus and will begin offering classes in March 2007. The Board of Regents approved Chamberlain’s application at its meeting on January 18, 2007 at the Board offices in Columbus. Chamberlain received approval from the Ohio Board of Nursing in November, 2006. This is the first step in Chamberlain’s plan to expand its footprint nationwide.
