Chamberlain University Appoints New Arlington Campus President — March 13, 2018

ARLINGTON, Virginia – March 13, 2018 – Chamberlain University has promoted Julie Siemers, DNP, MSN, RN to the president of its Arlington campus. In her new role, Dr. Siemers oversees all aspects of the nursing program at the Arlington campus including overall academic excellence, student services and support, operational efficiency, and student success.

Since joining Chamberlain University in 2016, Dr. Siemers has served as an adjunct professor and most recently, dean of academic affairs at Chamberlain University’s Las Vegas campus. Dr. Siemers began her career in healthcare as a staff nurse for University Medical Center and Boulder City Hospital in Las Vegas, before transitioning to become a chief flight nurse for Mercey Air Services in 2004, where she later served as program director of the western region. After working as a patient care nurse for more than 30 years, Dr. Siemers shifted to pursue a career in education, serving as the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program director at Touro University, before joining Chamberlain University in 2016.   

Dr. Siemers received her BSN from Excelsior College in New York and her master of science in nursing (MSN) and doctor of nursing practice (DNP) from Touro University in Nevada. She has received several awards for her nursing contributions including the Achievement Award – Contribution to Nursing from the Nevada Nurses Association in 2011. Dr. Siemers is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, American Association of Critical Care Nursing, and National League of Nursing.
