    Chamberlain College of Nursing Appoints Dr. Beverly Bonaparte Jacksonville Campus President — February 12, 2015

    Chamberlain College of Nursing announced the appointment of Beverly Bonaparte, Ph.D., RN, ANP, FAAN, as president of its Jacksonville campus, effective immediately. She will oversee curriculum implementation; delivery of student services; growth and development of regional clinical partnerships; and management of day-to-day campus operations. Dr. Bonaparte brings more than 35 years of academic, administrative and clinical experience in healthcare to the position.

    Chamberlain College of Nursing Programs Granted Accreditation from Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education — February 10, 2015
    Chamberlain College of Nursing has received reaffirmation of accreditation of its Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program for 10 years—the maximum amount of time granted for reaccreditation of an existing program—through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). It has also received initial accreditation from CCNE for its Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree program for five years, the maximum amount of time granted for initial accreditation of a new program.

    Filling a critical and growing need for nursing education in the metro Detroit area, Chamberlain College of Nursing is opening a new campus in Troy, Michigan, and is now accepting applications for admission to spring semester classes, which begin Jan. 5, 2015. The Troy campus is Chamberlain’s first in Michigan and 16th in the nation.

    Susan Groenwald, PhD, RN, ANEF, president of Chamberlain College of Nursing, is to be inducted as a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (Academy) at the Academy’s annual conference in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 18. Dr. Groenwald is one of 168 distinguished nurses selected for the honor this year. The inductees join more than 2,200 current fellows representing nurses in education, management, practice and research throughout the United States.
