Global Health Education Program

Chamberlain Care Worldwide

Venturing beyond the classroom and local community, Chamberlain’s 3-Year BSN students have the opportunity to participate in Global Health Education Projects in Kenya, Bolivia and Brazil. These immersion experiences give students the opportunity to practice their nursing skills while gaining a deeper understanding of cultural and economic differences across the globe.

The Global Health Education Project can be done in place of the Multiculturalism in Healthcare – Special Populations course requirement, so students can receive course credit as well as the educational experience of a lifetime.

What to Expect

  • Travel internationally and provide medical support to underserved communities
  • Expand your education and gain a deeper understanding of cultural and socioeconomic differences
  • Chamberlain Pre-Licensure students earn course credit for Community Health Nursing (NR-441) and Multiculturalism in Healthcare-Special Populations (INT-351) for a total of seven credit hours (only applies to generic Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program students)

sue-fletcher-INSP“Students think they’re going to help save the world, but they come away receiving more than they ever could have given – a greater confidence in their abilities and a real sense of purpose.”
