Curriculum

Chamberlain’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) curriculum is designed to advance students’ ability to retain and apply essential knowledge. The focus is on conceptual learning, giving students the skills to translate theory into practice.

Hands-on experience in both the Chamberlain SIMCARE CENTER™ and the on-site clinical setting allow nursing students to work side-by-side with faculty, mentors, peers, and experienced professional nurses as they refine their direct patient-care nursing skills.

The BSN degree program consists of a minimum of 122 credit hours: 56 credit hours in liberal arts and sciences and 66 credit hours in nursing.

SimCare Center

Life-Like Reactions

Patient simulators react much like a live patient would— they have vital signs, they voice discomfort, and can blink, sweat or bleed. The high-tech simulators are controlled remotely by instructors, who can alter the mannequin’s physical and verbal responses. The labs provide a safe environment for students to advance their knowledge, hone their nursing skills and learn from their mistakes.

Labs Replicate the Hospital Setting

From privacy curtain areas to scrub sinks to hospital beds, Chamberlain’s SIMCARE CENTER™ facilities closely replicate hospital and clinical settings. As part of Chamberlain’s commitment to academic excellence, the SIMCARE CENTER™ is also supported by a resource center that helps with the development of complex skills like medication calculation.

Student Government Association (SGA)

An organization with the purpose of listening to student concerns and suggestions and communicating these to the administration. The executive board is responsible for planning activities and community service events.

I have never gone to a school where it actually felt like family. I want success with my peers, the faculty want success from you. Just to have that community of constant support makes it home. This is my home and I love it here.
