Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree Program

Our BSN program was created with your needs in mind.

We keep class sizes small, allowing you a more personal experience with your professors.

We combine general education and nursing courses into a single curriculum, allowing you to take nursing-specific courses as early as the end of your first year of classes.

And we enable your growth as a nurse, by educating you in real life scenarios which prepare you for your patient interactions.

In the end, you’ll need a minimum of 129 total credit hours to graduate with your BSN. This is divided up as 69 credit hours in nursing-specific courses and 60 credit hours in liberal arts and sciences courses.

What Students Can Expect

At our Arlington campus, classes are taught by currently practicing nurses and seasoned professors who stay on top of the latest healthcare practices, principles and technology.

In our SIMCARE CENTER™ you’ll leave the books behind and put into practice what you’ve learned in class and perfected in labs. You’ll work with high-tech patient mannequins which act and react just like their real-life counterparts.

And as your education progresses, you’ll take part in clinicals. The clinical experience places you in live healthcare settings where you’ll be guided by RNs who will act as your preceptors as you help real patients. These preceptors will be available to help you with procedures, answer questions and offer assistance as needed.

Additional resources are available to help you earn your BSN, including:

  • Student Academic Success (SAS) Plan – To aid your education, we measure and track your grades for early identification of possible concerns and respond with additional support.
  • Early Alert – We proactively identify students who are experiencing academic performance issues and reach out to increase student success.
  • ASPIRE – A personal-support program for students and their families to address issues with school or daily life. This service is provided at no-cost and is confidential.
  • Career Services – Get help planning your career, practice interviewing and learn how to best design your resume. You’ll also get help finding employment opportunities.
  • Center for Academic Success (CAS) – Helping students succeed through tutoring, assessment, teaching and other resources.
