December 4, 2008: Effective December 15, 2008, I64/40 from 170 to Kingshighway will be shut down in both directions. 

You will still be able to travel 70 east from the airport to 170 south, with Forest Park Parkway as your last exit option to make your way to campus.  Exit Forest Park Parkway and continue east to Skinker (Washington University is on the SW corner and Forest Park will be directly in front of you).  Turn right onto Skinker and take to Oakland.  Turn left onto Oakland and follow to campus.

Forest Park Parkway may be extremely congested so other options are Olive, Delmar or Ladue.  I’m going to double check all the roads, turns, etc and follow up with another email with those directions.  You will encounter many stop lights taking any of these exits.

Another route from the airport is to take 70 East through downtown to Highway 44 West to Hampton, exit, turn right, take Hampton to Oakland and turn left to get to the campus.
