    Chamberlain Expands Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree Program to Include Healthcare Systems Leadership Specialty Track — November 5, 2013

    Chamberlain College of Nursing launches its Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Healthcare Systems Leadership specialty track for master’s-prepared nurses who want to pursue advanced leadership roles within their chosen specialty. The new specialty track allows students to customize their experience based on their credentials and career goals and tailor their practicum to any specialization, such as nursing informatics, health policy, practice administration or higher education administration. The Healthcare Systems Leadership specialty track joins the Advanced Practice Leadership specialty track for advanced practice registered nurses in rounding out Chamberlain’s DNP degree program.

    Dr. Dee McGonigle to be Inducted as Fellow into National League for Nursing’s — September 11, 2013
    Dee McGonigle, PhD, RN, FAAN, CNE, a professor in the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree program at Chamberlain College of Nursing, is to be inducted as a fellow of the National League for Nursing’s (NLN) Academy of Nursing Education on Sept. 20, at the annual NLN Education Summit in Washington, D.C. Dr. McGonigle is one of 28 distinguished nurse educators selected for the honor this year. The inductees join 154 current fellows who represent nursing schools and programs throughout the United States.

As demand for healthcare rises, the services of nurse practitioners will be integral in providing effective patient care. Chamberlain College of Nursing launched a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) specialty track to prepare nurses with the expert knowledge, complex decision-making skills and clinical competencies to fill an essential role on primary care teams. Nurses who complete this track may transition into Chamberlain’s Doctor of Nursing Practice degree program geared toward advanced practice nurses.
