ARLINGTON, Va. — April 20, 2011 — Chamberlain College of Nursing is pleased to announce that its Arlington campus is now included in its grant of accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). This follows the September 2010 approval to include the campus in Chamberlain’s institutional accreditation from The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of College and Schools.

“We are honored to have CCNE recognize the quality of our three-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program by including our campus in our grant of accreditation,” said Dr. Trish Hughes, dean of Chamberlain College of Nursing’s Arlington campus. “At Chamberlain, we challenge ourselves to ensure that our graduates are highly skilled nursing professionals who provide compassionate patient care. Chamberlain’s high academic standards and commitment to students are evident through our quality nursing degree curricula, student resources and approval by accrediting bodies, such as CCNE.”

CCNE is a national, autonomous accrediting agency that ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate, graduate and residency programs in nursing. CCNE also identifies programs that engage in effective educational practices. CCNE accreditation decisions are retroactive to the first day of the program’s most recent CCNE on-site evaluation.

Chamberlain College of Nursing’s Arlington campus, located at 2450 Crystal Drive, opened in July 2010 and features state-of-the-art nursing skills and simulation laboratories. The campus offers an on-site Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program that can be completed in three years of year-round study, instead of the typical four years with summers off. For registered nurses (RN) looking to advance their education and careers, Chamberlain offers multiple online programs: RN to BSN degree completion option, a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree program and a RN-BSN to MSN bridge option. Program availability varies by location.

Since its founding in St. Louis more than 120 years ago, Chamberlain College of Nursing has provided quality nursing education and promoted student success. Chamberlain’s nursing degree programs are enhanced by experiential learning to provide students with opportunities that expand their education through a full spectrum of social, cause-related and diverse field experience opportunities.
