Chamberlain College of Nursing Appoints Dr. Mary Yoho as Houston Location President
Yoho's 30 plus years of experience in nursing and management
further enriches Chamberlain's leadership

HOUSTON — September 21, 2011 — Chamberlain College of Nursing has announced the appointment of Mary Yoho, PhD, MSN, RN, CNE, as president of its Houston location. Dr. Yoho joins Chamberlain with more than 30 years of experience in nursing and education, including practice, instruction, management and research. In this role, Dr. Yoho will oversee implementation of the curriculum, delivery of student services, growth and development of regional clinical partnerships and management of the day-to-day operations for Chamberlain's Houston location.

"Throughout her career, Dr. Yoho has been an exemplary leader and earned an outstanding reputation in the nursing field," said Susan Groenwald, PhD(c), MSN, national president of Chamberlain College of Nursing. "As president of our Houston location, Dr. Yoho's leadership and dedication will enable Chamberlain to continue its longstanding tradition of graduating compassionate and highly skilled nursing professionals."

Prior to her arrival at Chamberlain, Dr. Yoho served as the interim director of nursing and national director of faculty development for Education Affiliates in Baltimore, where she provided leadership and direction for 29 degree programs in Practical Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 15 states under the institution's Fortis School of Nursing. Concurrently, she worked as a volunteer associate professor at the Texas Woman's University Institute of Health Services in Houston and as a visiting professor at Capella University's School of Education.

Dr. Yoho is a published author and has received the Writer's Award from North Harris Montgomery Community College District and the Publications Award from Texas Woman's University. She is a member of the Texas Organization for Associate Degree Nursing, The University of Texas Health Science Center Alumni Association, American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International and National League for Nursing. She also serves on the board of directors for the Texas Nurses Association, district nine.

Dr. Yoho earned a BSN degree and a Master of Science in Nursing degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and her Doctorate of Philosophy in Nursing Science from Texas Woman's University in Houston. Dr. Yoho is replacing the previous Houston location president, Carole Eldridge, DNP, MSN, who is moving to Dallas to be near family.
