Chamberlain University Appoints New St. Louis Campus President — February 5, 2018

Jennifer BussenST. LOUIS, Mo.  – (Feb. 5, 2018) – Chamberlain University has promoted Jennifer Bussen, DNP, RN, to president of its St. Louis campus. In her new role, Dr. Bussen oversees all aspects of the nursing program at the St. Louis campus including overall academic excellence, student services and support, operational efficiency, and student success.

Since joining Chamberlain University in 2013, Dr. Bussen has served as SIMCare center manager, associate dean of academic operations and most recently, associate dean of faculty. Dr. Bussen began her career in healthcare as a staff nurse at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. After working as a nurse for 11 years, Dr. Bussen transitioned to serve as the training lead and coordinator at Advanced ICU Care in St. Louis, before joining Chamberlain University.

Dr. Bussen received her bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) from Maryville University, her master of rural family nursing (MSN) nurse educator from University of Central Missouri, and her doctor of nursing practice (DNP) from Chamberlain University. She has participated in numerous scholarly research projects and is part of several professional organizations including, past president of the Missouri Association of Colleges of Nursing, St. Louis Area Deans and Directors, and Missouri Action Coalition-Missouri Center for Nursing.
