    Chamberlain College of Nursing Programs Granted Accreditation from Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education — February 10, 2015

    Chamberlain College of Nursing has received reaffirmation of accreditation of its Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program for 10 years—the maximum amount of time granted for reaccreditation of an existing program—through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). It has also received initial accreditation from CCNE for its Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree program for five years, the maximum amount of time granted for initial accreditation of a new program.

    Filling a critical and growing need for nursing education in the metro Detroit area, Chamberlain College of Nursing is opening a new campus in Troy, Michigan, and is now accepting applications for admission to spring semester classes, which begin Jan. 5, 2015. The Troy campus is Chamberlain’s first in Michigan and 16th in the nation.

    Chamberlain College of Nursing today announced the appointment of Beth Marquez, MSN, MBA, RN, as president of its Atlanta campus effective immediately. She succeeds Leila McKinney, DNP, MSN, APRN, NP-C, who had served as president of the Atlanta campus since the campus opened in 2012.

    Dr. Susan Groenwald to be Inducted as Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing — September 24, 2014
    Susan Groenwald, PhD, RN, ANEF, president of Chamberlain College of Nursing, is to be inducted as a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (Academy) at the Academy’s annual conference in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 18. Dr. Groenwald is one of 168 distinguished nurses selected for the honor this year. The inductees join more than 2,200 current fellows representing nurses in education, management, practice and research throughout the United States.

    Susan Groenwald, PhD, MSN, RN, president of Chamberlain College of Nursing, is to be inducted as a fellow of the National League for Nursing’s (NLN) Academy of Nursing Education on Sept. 19 at the annual NLN Education Summit in Phoenix. Dr. Groenwald is one of 20 distinguished nurse educators and two honorary fellows selected this year. The inductees join 165 current fellows who represent nursing schools and programs throughout the United States.
