Miramar Students Lend a Hand at Clinical Site

With rakes, paintbrushes and little elbow grease, a team of students from Chamberlain’s Miramar campus recently gave back to one of their clinical sites for NR-322 Pediatric Nursing – a prescribed pediatric extended care (PPEC) facility in Ft. Lauderdale.
The center offers skilled nursing services to the medically fragile, medically complex, and technologically dependent pediatric population, birth to 21 years of age. A team of students from Chamberlain and DeVry, led by the Chamberlain Student Government Association (SGA), devoted their Saturday to sprucing up the outdoor playground and patio areas for the children and staff.
“It is a wonderful feeling to see our students so eager to participate in this community project,” said Linda Gettinger-Dinner, DHSc, MSN, ARNP, associate professor at Chamberlain who helped organize the project. “This act of kindness truly represents our values of “Doing Well by Doing Good.”
