Nursing Ranked #1 for Honesty and Ethics by Gallup Poll – Again!

Nursing has been ranked the most honest, ethical profession for the 14th year in a row.

For the annual poll, Gallup asked a sample of the American public in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. to rate the honesty and ethical standards of nurses, as well as 20 other professions.

This year, 85% of the public rated the honesty and ethical standards of nurses as very high or high – matching the profession’s highest rating since being added to the poll in 1999.

The nursing profession comes in 17 percentage points higher than pharmacists, who take the #2 spot. Rounding out the top five most trusted professions are medical doctors, high school teachers and police officers.
