I am so pleased to have the opportunity to communicate with you via our new Chamberlain blog. At our Indianapolis campus, it's exciting to see our hallways, classrooms and student areas filled with energetic and motivated individuals who are fulfilling their dream of becoming a nurse.
In an accelerated program, it’s important students stay on top of their assignments and school commitments. We have a Center for Academic Success that is available for tutoring and is a wonderful place to study and just hang out. It's for our students, so make sure you take advantage of it.
Choosing nursing as a career is an important first step in reaching your dream of becoming a nurse. The opportunities from that choice forward are unlimited. The gift of being able to share the joys and sorrows of mankind is unique to nursing. Being at the bedside at the most vulnerable time of a person’s life is an honor and a privilege not to take lightly. Being a nurse isn't learning a “job”...it's entering a profession of hope and caring.
Don't get discouraged. Remember it is the small steps toward a goal that allow each one of us to reach our dreams. I believe in you and look forward to the day when I can call you my nursing peer.
