We celebrate the scholarship, research and academic excellence of baccalaureate and graduate nursing students and the achievements of professional nurses. We engage our faculty in discussion, research, and collaboration with other educators on determining and implementing best practices to enhance student learning.

Faculty Excellence

Elizabeth Fildes, EdD, RN, CNE, CARN-AP, APHN-BC, Professor in the Master of Science in Nursing degree program, was invited to be a recommendation champion and subject matter expert for a recommendation in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Institute of Medicine (IOM) report, The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health. Dr. Fildes will serve on the Nevada Action Coalition for The Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action, an initiative promoting implementation of the IOM recommendations.

Kevin Letz, DNP, MBA, MSN, RN, CEN, CNE, FNP-C, ANP-BC, PNP-BC, FAANP, Associate Professor in the Master of Science in Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner Specialty Track, was inducted as a 2015 fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) at the organization’s annual conference in New Orleans. Fellows are recognized for making an impact on the nurse practitioner profession through outstanding contributions to clinical practice, research, education or policy.

Being a fellow means more than recognition of one’s accomplishments within the nursing profession – it’s a responsibility to contribute one’s time, energy, and talents to advancing the health and well-being of people and the quality of nursing worldwide through education, practice, and research. Being honored as a fellow is one of the highest recognitions an individual can receive, and is a direct reflection on proficiencies, contributions and impact in the nursing profession. Chamberlain College of Nursing is proud of the many fellows of our College and their positive influence on healthcare.

Academic Affiliations National League for Nursing: Chamberlain College of Nursing and the National League for Nursing have

partnered to establish the NLN Chamberlain College of Nursing Center for the Advancement of the Science of Nursing Education. The NLN/Chamberlain Center will promote evidence-based nursing education and the scholarship of teaching, enabling the expansion of NLN programming in nursing education research. Chamberlain is proud to be the inaugural Elite Partner to join the Campaign for the NLN Home for Transformative Excellence.

Sigma Theta Tau International: The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI), and Chamberlain College of Nursing partnered to establish the Sigma Theta Tau International and Chamberlain College of Nursing Center for Excellence in Nursing Education. STTI and Chamberlain are both committed to advancing global excellence in nursing education.
