Nurses Make A Difference
Many talk about making a difference. Nurses actually do it. From the bedside to the boardroom, they are there: providing extraordinary care, advocating for patients and fighting for health equity. Join us this Nurses Month as we show our gratitude and celebrate the immeasurable ways nurses contribute to the health and wellness of our communities.
Celebrate with us throughout the month of May!

Week 4: Community Engagement is at the Heart of Nursing
As nurses, you are hard-wired for solving problems, you felt a calling, and you are passionate about caring for and engaging with your community. Your extraordinary work improves every life that you touch – be it patient or team member. Nurses positively impact and nurture their communities by engaging with them as advocates, teachers, and even social media healthcare influencers.

Stronger Together 2022 - You Make a Difference
As nurses, you affect positively the lives of all you touch. For many people, a nurse is a symbol of a bridge, of a connection – an anchor who makes us feel safe and comforted.
We would love to have you join us for an afternoon of Chamberlain camaraderie, celebration and inspiration at our Stronger Together virtual event Thursday, May 26, at 3:00 PM CT.

Nurses Tread the Path to Community Leadership
Nurses are leaders in their own right, yet many are pursuing post-graduate degrees and certificates to continue learning and gain additional leadership experience and expertise. Nurse leadership is a phenomenal way to impact at scale – heading up hospitals, universities, boards and trade associations impacts hundreds, if not thousands, of nurses and community members. Chamberlain University has several options to activate the next step in your nursing leadership journey.

Chamberlain Students, Faculty and Alumni are the Gold Standard for Community Engagement
Chamberlain alumni are leading the charge! They’re fighting for patient rights in Congressional hearings, advocating for nurses’ rights on Capitol steps, bringing health expertise to local barbershops, and even leveraging Instagram to send health tips to thousands of followers! The world cannot move forward without the Herculean work of nurses.
Although Nurses Month 2022 is coming to a close, we will continue to celebrate you every day – your compassion, brilliance, strength, endurance and drive.
Thank you for all you do!
Week 3: Professional Development
For a nurse, professional development begins with the clinical knowledge and skills particular to the job. But as all future or current nurses soon realize, professional development also includes making yourself marketable, implementing useful tips, learning lessons on the fly, and giving or receiving help from other nurses.

Tips For Nurse Practitioners
If you have a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Chamberlain, you may be seeking a job as a family nurse practitioner (FNP). As with any job search, your professional development relies on preparation. Take these points of advice from industry professionals who are experts in the job search process:
-
Get your FNP resume in order: Your resume is often the first touch you will have with a potential employer.
-
Do your homework: Learn about the organization that is interviewing you and thoroughly research your potential FNP role.
-
Practice makes perfect: Polish your answers to probable FNP interview questions.
-
Follow up: Express your appreciation and continued interest and send your thanks after the FNP interview.
