The SIMCARE CENTER™ gives you the opportunity to hone fundamental nursing skills on high-tech patient manikins. Patient simulators have vital signs, bodily functions and produce a range of symptoms, allowing you the chance to provide quality care in a safe setting before transitioning to patients in the clinicals portion of the curriculum.

What is the SIMCARE CENTER™?

Chamberlain’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) curriculum is structured to advance students’ abilities to retain essential knowledge and apply it in clinical settings. The curriculum focuses on conceptual learning and gives students critical skills to translate theory into nursing practice.

Patient simulators have vital signs, bodily functions and produce a range of symptoms, allowing you the chance to provide quality care in a safe setting before transitioning to patients in the clinicals portion of the curriculum.

How many credit hours are required for the Columbus BSN program?

The Columbus BSN program consists of a minimum of 122 credit hours: 56 credit hours in general education and 66 credit hours in the nursing major.

Are there tutoring services available?

The Center for Academic Success (CAS) at the Columbus campus offers workshops, study materials and appointments with tutors and academic support. As you consider RN programs in Columbus, Ohio, make sure to evaluate the level of support provided. 

What is the admission criteria?

Prospective nursing students begin the admission process by first completing an application and then interviewing with a Chamberlain admission representative. When all admission criteria are fulfilled, prospective students are told in writing of their admission status to a specific Chamberlain program and location.
