
Elisea Avalos, PhD, MPH
Dr. Elisea Avalos joined Chamberlain University in 2023 and is an Assistant Professor for the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree program. Dr. Avalos is an Epidemiologist with over 16 years of experience in research, study design, and analytics and has designed, written, and executed several research protocols. While her initial work was in infectious disease epidemiology, recently, Dr. Avalos shifted her focus to the Specialty Pharmacy space, specifically oncology and rheumatology. She has a broad background in health outcomes research focusing on total cost of care, adherence, and patient-reported outcomes to improve health-related quality of life. Dr. Avalos served as an Institutional Review Board Member while working for the Naval Medical Center, San Diego (NMCSD), and as a member of the abstract review committee for the annual Academic Research Conference at NMCSD. She has contributed to and authored several peer-reviewed publications and has presented her work at national conferences.
