
Janet L. Snow, PhD, MSN, RN
Dr. Jan Snow has been the president of Chamberlain University’s Addison campus since it opened in 2008 and the Tinley Park campus since 2022. She has more than 35 years of experience in the
healthcare industry.
Prior to joining Chamberlain, Dr. Snow held a variety of positions in colleges of nursing and healthcare consulting firms. She achieved the rank of associate professor of nursing at Rush University College of Nursing, where she taught for many years. She also served as vice president of consulting services at Joint Commission Resources in Oak Brook, Illinois; assistant director of business development in the global healthcare practice at Ernst & Young; and president and chief marketing officer of National Health and Business Strategies, a firm she owned which was later acquired by William M. Mercer, the global human resources firm.
Early in her career, Dr. Snow focused her clinical practice on the specialty of pediatrics and in a variety of roles in hospitals specializing in the critical care aspect of pediatric nursing.
Dr. Snow has published articles on leadership and strategies for success, as well as presented on similar topics at national nursing conferences. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
Dr. Snow earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree with a pediatric specialty from the University of California at San Francisco and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in nursing from Rush University College of Nursing. She received the PRIDE Award from Chamberlain University in 2009, the Campus Operations Excellence Award in 2015, the TEACH Award for Talent Development in 2015 and the Pinnacle Leader Award from the University of Illinois Chicago Power of Leadership Initiative in 2016.
