
Jed Grant, DMSc, PA-C
Dr. Jed Grant was appointed founding Program Director of the Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) program on Chamberlain University’s Phoenix Campus in July of 2024. As program director, Dr. Grant is responsible for overseeing PA program faculty and staff, accreditation, development and delivery of the MPAS curriculum, and program outcomes. He has more than 20 years of experience in PA education prior to joining Chamberlain, and served in many roles including preceptor, principal faculty, admissions director, academic director, and program director.
Dr. Grant graduated from the Inter-service (US Military) PA Program in 1999. Dr. Grant earned a baccalaureate degree in 1999 and a Master’s in 2008, both from the University of Nebraska. He completed his Doctorate at the University of Lynchburg in 2020. His research has focused on infectious disease, hypertension, and predictors of PA student success. He has completed several post-graduate clinical courses with the military, including the Primary Flight Surgeons Course, Joint Enroute Care Course, and Trauma Casualty Management Course. Dr. Grant has practiced in primary care, general surgery, military, occupational, and emergency medicine.
Dr. Grant has received several awards, including Military PA of the Year from the Veterans Caucus of the American Academy of Physician Associates, the Order of St. Maurice from the US Army Infantry Association, Reserve Police Officer of the Year, and multiple military citations. He is a combat veteran and has served in the Army National Guard for over two decades, holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He is a Director at Large on the Board of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and served on the California Physician Assistant Board for more than a decade. Dr. Grant is a member of several professional organizations and a frequent speaker at state and national conferences
