Jill Price, PhD, MSN, RN
Dr. Jill Price is the chief academic officer at Chamberlain University and is responsible for the creation and implementation of the academic priorities, working closely with the academic deans, academic support services, faculty and staff to provide the highest possible quality of educational programs. To her role, Dr. Price brings more than 31 years of experience in the nursing profession and healthcare education including critical care nursing, nursing research, consulting, administration along with strategic planning and development. Dr. Price pioneered developing and integrating healthcare systems in underdeveloped countries and innovative curricula in practice and education. Two noteworthy achievements reflect her leadership to continually impact practice and education worldwide: 1. Establishment of a Cardiovascular Center of Excellence in St. Croix with a 217% improvement in survival rates and implementation of similar systems in other Island Nations with similar results; 2. Creation of innovative curriculum to prepare nurses to deliver evidence-based care across many countries. Dr. Price created partnerships with individuals, academic/clinical settings, and professional organizations to shape the future of nursing education internationally.
Dr. Price is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, National League for Nursing, American Nurses Association, American Academy of Nursing, and Sigma Theta Tau International and previous member of the Caribbean Cardiac Society. Her research is published in Nurse Educator, The Journal of Continuing Education in Nursing, The Journal of the American Medical Association and Cath Lab Digest. In recognition of her accomplishments, in 2013, Dr. Price received the Daisy Faculty Award and in 2016 was a finalist in the “Giving Excellence Meaning” (GEM) Nursing Executive Leadership Category for the state of Illinois.
Dr. Price received a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) in education with a nursing education specialty from Capella University. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) degrees from University of Phoenix and an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from University of Kentucky’s Jefferson Community College.
