Linda Fly, PhD, MSN, MPA, RN, CNE
Dr. Linda Fly is the Senior Director, Operations of Chamberlain University and is currently serving as the interim Executive Dean at the Miramar campus. She brings more than 40 years of nursing practice, education and leadership experience to the role.
Dr. Fly joined Chamberlain in 2009 as a visiting professor in the post-licensure programs. In 2013, Dr. Fly joined Chamberlain full-time as the dean of pre-licensure online education and in July 2018 her role expanded to include national director of pre-licensure academic operations. In April 2020, Dr. Fly’s role further expanded to the senior director, operations which includes student success, retention efforts and quality improvement. Over the last 10 years, Dr. Fly has served as the interim president for several campus locations. As Senior Director, Operations, Dr. Fly works directly with national and campus-based academic and operation leadership to identify, design and effectively roll out operational change initiatives and processes to advance Chamberlain toward its goal of excellence. Dr. Fly is responsible for implementing and executing an effective strategy in order to achieve agreed upon educational and business outcomes. Dr. Fly provides leadership to operational quality initiatives focusing on efforts to improve the student and colleague experience. Operational performance management and quality audit processes are utilized to drive leading practices and deliver superior student outcomes.
Dr. Fly holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from the University of Central Oklahoma, a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in hospital organization from Golden Gate University, a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree in a focus in nursing informatics from Abilene Christian University and a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in nursing from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Dr. Fly is a member of the National League of Nursing, Oklahoma Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International, Oklahoma Organization of Nurse Executives and the American College of Healthcare Executives. She is a certified nurse educator (CNE) by the National League for Nursing. Lastly, Dr. Fly holds the Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
