
Robert Dugan, DNP, RN, CENP, CPN
Dr. Robert Dugan is the Executive Dean of Chamberlain University’s College of Nursing San Antonio campus. He brings over 30 years combined experience in nursing practice, nursing education, and leadership to his role.
Dr. Dugan began his healthcare career as a medic in the United States Army. He then joined the nursing profession as a licensed vocational nurse. He holds an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from San Antonio College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington, a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership from Texas A&M – Corpus Christi and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Grand Canyon University.
Prior to joining Chamberlain University, Dr. Dugan held various leadership roles including BSN Program Director for Galen College of Nursing – Austin campus, Division Vice President Clinical Operations for Methodist Healthcare System, and Director of Nursing – Pediatrics for South Texas Health System Children’s.
Dr. Dugan holds certifications as a Certified Executive in Nursing Practice from the American Organization for Nursing Leadership and a Certified Pediatric Nurse from the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. He is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, the American Organization for Nursing Leadership, and the Texas Organization for Nursing Leadership.
