
Shelley Rayborn, DNP, PHN, RN
Dr. Shelley Rayborn is the Dean of Academic Affairs and Interim Program Director for Chamberlain University’s Atlanta and Stockbridge campuses. She began service to Chamberlain’s Atlanta Alliance in 2023 as an Alliance Dean of Academic Affairs for Atlanta, Stockbridge, and Charlotte. Prior to joining Chamberlain, Dr. Rayborn served as Dean and Nurse Administrator for a BSN, ADN, and PN program in Minnesota, a program director for a nursing program, and a full-time faculty for nearly a decade. Additionally, Dr. Rayborn served as a Nurse Educator, and in nursing roles at the bedside in the public health realm, the ER, and other critical care units. For the last nine years, Dr. Rayborn focused on research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement.
She participated in multiple quality improvement initiatives, some of which included published works. She published an article with her peers in the Journal of Nursing Care Quality titled Improving Resident Oral Health and Adherence to a Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia Bundle in a Skilled Nursing Facility in 2018. Dr. Rayborn earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Science in Nursing from Metropolitan State University and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from St. Catherine University.
