
Vicki Walker, DNP, MSN, RN
Dr. Vicki Walker is the president of Chamberlain University’s Las Vegas campus. She brings over 20 years of clinical and academic experience to the position.
Prior to joining Chamberlain, she worked in a variety of leadership roles at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, Valley Health System, Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and Medical Careers Institute. Her academic experience includes positions as an adjunct instructor at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and nursing program director at the Medical Careers Institute. Her clinical practice includes registered nurse positions in pediatric psychiatry, cardiac step-down, emergency, medical-surgical and geropsychiatric departments. She is the winner of a 2018 Nevada Future of Nursing Award and the 2012 March of Dimes Nurse of the Year, Nursing Education award.
Dr. Walker has been an active member of the healthcare community through numerous professional organizations, including the Nevada Alliance for Nursing Education, the Nevada Action Coalition, the Nevada Nurses Association, the American Heart and Stroke Association, the Nevada Holistic Nurses Association and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
Dr. Walker earned her Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from the University of Virginia and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Purdue University Northwest.
