Chamberlain College of Nursing's BSN degree program enables students to earn their BSN degree in as few as three years of year-round study instead of the typical four years with summers off, allowing students to enter the workforce sooner than their peers at other nursing schools.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program incorporates general education and nursing courses into a program that provides the education and skills necessary for a lifetime of personal and professional growth. The BSN degree consists of a minimum of 129 credit hours: 69 credit hours in general education and 60 credit hours in the nursing major.
Using the same curriculum as the traditional BSN, the adult with an earned baccalaureate degree is provided an opportunity to enter professional nursing in an accelerated program of study. Courses are taught with all theory provided in an online format that is closely linked to face-to-face lab, clinical and other experiential learning activities. With Chamberlain College of Nursing's Second Degree Program Option, you can complete your BSN in as few as 13 months.
Chamberlain College of Nursing offers the Second Degree BSN Option opportunity for those who have earned a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university, and who have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA on all post-secondary coursework. Please see our catalog for additional details.

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® | International Nursing Service Projects
Chamberlain College of Nursing joins together to support one of the greatest causes of all – the race to cure breast cancer. At Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure events, Chamberlain students, faculty, and staff come together to join the fight to end breast cancer and save lives. Because with every step, we are that much closer to curing breast cancer forever.
Chamberlain students have ventured far beyond the classroom and local communities to participate in International Nursing Service Projects in Kenya, Bolivia, and Brazil. This first-hand immersion experience allows students to gain a deeper understanding of cultural and economic differences. The two- to three-week International Nursing Service Projects can be done in place of the school’s required multiculturalism and community health courses.
The Chamberlain Houston Student Nurses' Association (SNA) mentors the professional development of future registered nurses and provides educational resources, leadership opportunities and career guidance.
During Nurses Appreciation Week (May 6-12), Chamberlain celebrates nursing and unites its students, faculty, and staff. Chamberlain honors nurses and raises awareness for healthcare causes, the national need for nurses, and the need to improve the quality of healthcare.
Chamberlain College of Nursing Honor Society celebrates the scholarship, research and academic excellence of baccalaureate and graduate nursing students and the achievements of professional nurses. Our mission is to support learning, knowledge, and professional development of nurses committed to making a difference worldwide.
Our commitment to student success is exemplified at the Center for Academic Success (CAS). CAS provides students with an opportunity to enlist the services of peer and professional tutors for assistance with course content in both general education and nursing courses. Tutors can provide resources for academic support, advice on how to study, and insight into particular classes and instructors. The Center also holds study sessions when requested for nursing and gen ed topics, such as chemistry/microbiology, critical care nursing, and pharmacology, and algebra.

Mary Judith Yoho, PhD, MSN, RN, CNE President, Houston Location
Dr. Mary Yoho serves as the president of Chamberlain College of Nursing's Houston location. Dr. Yoho has more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including practice, instruction, management and research.
Prior to her arrival at Chamberlain, Dr. Yoho served as the interim director of nursing and national director of faculty development for Education Affiliates in Baltimore, where she provided leadership, direction, coordination and support for the 29 Practical Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree programs in 15 states under the institution's Fortis Schools of Nursing. Concurrently, she also worked as a volunteer associate professor at Texas Woman's University Institute of Health Sciences in Houston and as a visiting professor at Capella University's School of Education. She began her career working as a staff nurse in a variety of hospital settings.
Dr. Yoho is a published author and has received the Writer's Award from North Harris Montgomery Community College District and the Publications Award from Texas Woman's University. She is a member of the Texas Organization for Associate Degree Nursing, The University of Texas Health Science Center Alumni Association, American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International and National League for Nursing. She also serves on the board of directors for the Texas Nurses Association, district nine.
Dr. Yoho earned a BSN degree and a Master of Science in Nursing degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and her Doctorate of Philosophy in nursing science from Texas Woman's University in Houston. She is licensed as a registered nurse by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners and currently holds a nurse educator certification from the National League for Nursing.
