2025 Alumni Awards Nominations Are Open
Celebrate Chamberlain Care® in action
Review the nomination criteria below for each award and submit by June 6, 2025. A candidate may be nominated in multiple categories; however, the selection committee reserves the right to grant an award for which the candidate has not been nominated.
Distinguished Career in Nursing Award
The Distinguished Career in Nursing Award recognizes an alumnus/a in nursing, with more than ten (10) years of experience, whose clinical practice is exemplary, who contributes beyond expectations, and who has generously offered their time and talents to mentor other nurses.
Award Criteria:
- Demonstrates more than 10 years of exceptional clinical practice, consistently providing high-quality patient care and upholding best practices within their specialty.
- Exhibits leadership in the nursing profession through innovative initiatives, advancing nursing practice, and positively influencing healthcare environments or systems.
- Actively mentors and supports the growth of fellow nurses, promoting continuous learning and professional development, especially for those new to the field or advancing in their careers.
Contributes to the broader nursing community through volunteerism, advocacy, and service, while upholding the highest ethical standards and demonstrating professionalism in all aspects of their work.
Alumni Commit-to-Care Service Award
The Alumni Commit-to-Care Service Award recognizes an alumnus whose dedicated work and model service has benefited society and the healthcare professions. Recipients must have demonstrated community service on a local, state, national, or international level.
Award Criteria:
- Has made significant contributions through service that directly benefits communities, individuals, or populations, improving health outcomes or quality of life.
- Actively works to improve the healthcare field, whether through policy advocacy, healthcare access initiatives, or promoting innovation in care delivery on local, state, national, or international levels.
- Exhibits leadership in organizing or supporting service projects or initiatives, inspiring others to contribute to community or healthcare-related causes.
- Demonstrates a sustained, long-term commitment to service, having made a measurable, positive impact over time, and continuing to serve and advocate for the betterment of society and the healthcare profession.
Emerging Caregiver Award
The Emerging Caregiver Award recognizes a recent alumnus (graduating within the past 10 years) who is already making a significant impact on healthcare and shows great promise in shaping the future of the profession.
Award Criteria:
- Must be a graduate from Chamberlain University within the last 10 years.
- Demonstrates creativity and innovation in providing patient care, contributing to improvements in healthcare practices, processes, or outcomes.
- Actively engages in ongoing education and professional growth, consistently striving to enhance their skills and knowledge to provide the highest level of care and leadership.
- Shows potential to significantly shape the future of the profession through a dedication to advancing healthcare standards, inspiring peers, and contributing to the evolving needs of the healthcare field.
Awards Descriptions, Elibility, and Criteria
Nominations are now open for the 2025 Chamberlain Alumni Awards!
Inspire, strengthen, and celebrate our Chamberlain community by submitting an Alumni Award nomination. Nominees for all awards must meet the following criteria:
- Nominees must be a Chamberlain University alumnus.
- Nominees can self-nominate or be nominated by fellow alumni, peer, Chamberlain faculty or staff, etc.
- Nominees can be nominated for multiple awards but can only be selected for one.
- Nominees can be selected for a different award than the original nomination.
- Nominees must be positive advocates for Chamberlain and agree to share their stories and comments for the promotion of the Alumni Community and Chamberlain University.
