
Danika Bowen, EdD, MBA
Dr. Danika Bowen possesses a wealth of experience in the realm of higher education, amassing nearly a quarter-century of expertise encompassing academic administration, operational management, accreditation processes, and workforce solutions. Serving as Interim Vice President of BSN Online, Dr. Bowen will undertake the oversight of the BSN Online option while simultaneously managing the clinical practicum experiences for all enrolled students.
Dr. Bowen’s scholarly contributions are marked by her research endeavors focusing on mastery learning, alongside her active participation in various academic forums. Noteworthy among her engagements are presentations delivered at conferences such as the Emergency Nursing Association, the Association of Perioperative Nurses, and the American Nephrology Nurses Association.
Prior to her tenure at Chamberlain University, Dr. Bowen served as the Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs at Carrington College, where she held the pivotal role of Accreditation Liaison Officer, assuming responsibility for orchestrating all programmatic and institutional accreditation assessments. Within this capacity, Dr. Bowen also steered institutional planning initiatives, exercised fiscal stewardship, shaped educational policies and practices, facilitated workforce development endeavors, and fostered faculty development programs.
Dr. Bowen’s professional trajectory further includes her tenure as a commissioner representing the Accrediting Commission of Community and Junior Colleges for a duration of three years, coupled with her membership on the Board of Directors. Evidencing her commitment to excellence, Dr. Bowen has lent her expertise to a total of seven comprehensive evaluations and subsequent follow-up visits.
Dr. Danika Bowen holds numerous degrees including a doctorate in educational leadership and change. She has been married for 26 years and has 3 daughters.
