At Chamberlain’s nursing program in the Chicago area, you will get hands-on experience in the Chamberlain SIMCARE CENTER™ as well as in our on-site clinical training. You will work alongside classmates, faculty, mentors, and experienced registered nurses as you sharpen your skills in direct patient-care nursing. The SIMCARE CENTER™ features various aspects of simulated care, allowing you to practice basic nursing skills on high-tech patient manikins. Patient simulators have many bodily functions and vital signs, and they reveal a variety of symptoms. You can hone your nursing skills in a safe health care setting before moving on to real-life patients in the clinicals portion of the curriculum.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree Program Evening/Weekend Option
Traditional daytime classes are available to complete the BSN coursework at our Tinley Park campus, but students with daytime work or family commitments may take advantage of the evening/weekend option. This option allows you to complete your nursing degree when your schedule permits—and you can still get your BSN in just three years. With the evening/ weekend option, you learn outside the typical classroom schedule, but you receive the same level of support and resources as traditional daytime students. You take the same classes and complete the same total number of credit hours, but you have access to weekend clinicals, an evening nursing program and other options.

BSN Degree Program—Evening/Weekend Option FAQ
The Tinley Park BSN degree program—Evening/Weekend option is designed to meet the needs of individuals who require an alternative schedule. Night and weekend nursing school students complete courses outside the typical classroom schedule while still receiving the same level of support and resources as traditional weekday students.

Weekend and night nursing program courses are limited to students enrolled in a Tinley Park evening/weekend cohort. Students in evening/weekend cohorts are limited to enrolling in courses during the evening/weekend only.
The number of total credit hours for completion of the evening/weekend option is equal to the number required to complete the BSN degree program. The Tinley Park Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program consists of a minimum of 122 credit hours: 56 credit hours in general education and 66 credit hours in the nursing major.
