At Chamberlain’s nursing program in the Chicago area, you will get hands-on experience in the Chamberlain SIMCARE CENTER™ as well as in our on-site clinical training. You will work alongside classmates, faculty, mentors, and experienced registered nurses as you sharpen your skills in direct patient-care nursing. The SIMCARE CENTER™ features various aspects of simulated care, allowing you to practice basic nursing skills on high-tech patient manikins. Patient simulators have many bodily functions and vital signs, and they reveal a variety of symptoms. You can hone your nursing skills in a safe health care setting before moving on to real-life patients in the clinicals portion of the curriculum.

As an RN student in our Tinley Park nursing program, you have all the support, resources, and tools that you need to prepare for the NCLEX®. Assessments, extra help, simulations, and tutorials are easily accessible, available, and effective. Passing the NCLEX®is one of the final steps before becoming a registered nurse.

Are tutoring services available?

In order to assist in successful completion of online coursework, an online readiness assessment is an integral part of the admission process. Based upon the outcome of the online readiness assessment, skill building activities may be required.

Entry-Level and Transfer Students

Start after high school or transfer college credits at our BSN program in Tinley Park, Illinois

You can go to Chamberlain Tinley Park after you graduate from high school—or after you pass the General Educational Development (GED®) test. Requirements include:

  • A high school diploma with a 2.75 grade point average or higher
  • Or a GED® test score of 551 if taken between 2002-2013, or a minimum score of 600 if taken in 2014 or after

If you take the Health Education Systems Incorporated (HESI) Admission Assessment (A2) Exam, you will need a minimum score of 73.
