Diane J. Morey, PhD, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, CNE
Dr. Diane Morey is the president of Chamberlain University’s Irwindale campus. She brings 40 years of academic, administrative and clinical experience to the role.
Prior to joining Chamberlain, Dr. Morey held a range of leadership and academic positions, most recently serving as campus dean of nursing at West Coast University. Earlier in her career, she served as vice president of academic affairs for health science education at American National University, assistant dean of allied health & public safety and nursing program director at College of the Canyons, and a professor teaching in both undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.
On the practice side, Dr. Morey has over 30 years of experience as a registered nurse, including positions in adult medical surgical intensive care, pediatrics, pediatric intensive care and as a school nurse. She is a Certified Nurse Educator and a Nurse Executive Advanced-Board Certified.
Dr. Morey is actively engaged in several professional organizations, including the National League for Nursing, American Nurses Association, Association of California Nurse Leaders and Sigma Theta Tau International. She has authored textbook chapters on evidence-based practice, nursing practice and immune disorders. She was appointed as a board member of the Northeast Valley Health Corporation.
Dr. Morey earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She also holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Education with a specialization in instructional design for online learning from Capella University.
