
Eveline Ndii Kalomo, PhD, MSW, MA
Dr. Kalomo is currently an Associate Professor at Chamberlain University. Dr. Kalomo earned her Bachelor’s in social work from the University of Namibia; a Master of Arts in International Child Welfare from the University of East Anglia, in the United Kingdom. She received her PhD and MSW (Clinical Track) in Social Work from the University of Minnesota School of Social Work. In her 20 years as a social worker, Dr. Kalomo has been a caseworker, and community advocate in child welfare, specifically providing counseling; connecting clients to essential resources as well as wraparound services to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence in Namibia.
Dr. Kalomo has extensive international experience as a social work educator in higher education. Early in her career she took up a faculty position at the University of Namibia, Department of Social Work. She taught and developed a variety of courses in the undergraduate program. She also Taught and supervised Field Practicum of undergraduate students. It is also during this time that she took a keen research interest in working with underserved families and communities impacted by the HIV pandemic in rural Namibia. Her scholarly work has morphed into examining the intersections of public health (i.e., HIV); social determinants of health and mental health among vulnerable population living with HIV including adolescents, older adults, women, and prison offenders.
Outside her work duties, Dr. Kalomo loves to spend time with family and friends. Faith, family friends, and food are very important to her.
