Sarah Pilgrim, Ph.D., LMSW
Dr. Pilgrim earned her BSW from Washburn University in Topeka Kansas, and a MSW & Ph.D. from the University of Kansas in Lawrence Kansas. Prior to earning her Ph.D. she practiced in the field of social work. During her direct practice, she worked in the field of Early Head Start/Child Development, Adolescent Mental Health, and Adolescent Child Welfare. Additionally, she has worked as a Health Teacher for at-risk youth in the Kansas City Metro Area. She has been teaching Social Work Students at the BSW and MSW level for the past 11 years. Her area of interest and emphasis is teaching Social Policy, Research, Direct Practice Courses and training future healthcare professionals about Social Determinants and Health and effective communication with patients.
