DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. and GLEN ELLEN, Calif. – May 28, 2013 – Chamberlain College of Nursing announced today it is offering a special scholarship to the more than 35,000 DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) Award nurses for their clinical competency and compassionate care for patients. The DAISY Honoree Scholarships are part of Chamberlain’s exclusive national college of nursing sponsorship of the DAISY Foundation, a public foundation serving the nursing profession through meaningful recognition programs and grants for nursing research.

“We are honored to have the support of a national college of nursing that shares our dedication to promoting compassion and professionalism in nursing,” said Bonnie Barnes, co-founder and president of The DAISY Foundation. “Chamberlain recognizes the critical role DAISY nurses play in their patients’ lives, and the scholarship Chamberlain offers our award recipients will help them advance their education and the extraordinary care they deliver every day.”
