Doctoral candidates can choose from three elective focus areas to tailor their curriculum to their leadership goals: Advanced Practice Leadership, Educational Leadership and Healthcare Systems Leadership. Fully online and designed to complement your DNP coursework, these focus areas include two elective leadership courses unique to each pathway.

DNP Admission Requirements

Take the first step toward a DNP with our simple and streamlined admission process. You can choose from six program starts per year. At Chamberlain, we offer options for entry into our DNP program no matter where you are in your educational journey.  

If you are a registered nurse with a BSN and an MSN, you’ll need the following to apply:  

  • A current, active and unrestricted RN license in the U.S. or in a jurisdiction that is an associate member of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for your nursing master’s degree
