The holiday season may be six months away, but Chamberlain students were in the giving-spirit through the month of June. Students in Illinois, Texas, and Virginia took time to give back to the community and support charitable causes. See what’s going on with 3-year BSN students at four of our campus locations.
Addison SNA Gives Back to the Community
Members of the Addison, IL campus’ Student Nurse Association (SNA) recently gave back to the community by taking time out to clean up a nearby forest preserve. The effort embodied the SNA’s mission to instill in students the standards, ethics, and skills they will need as responsible and accountable leaders and members of the nursing profession.
Houston Campus Gets Social with #HashtagLunchBag
The Houston campus recently participated in #HashtagLunchBag, an event which focused on feeding the homeless. Students and faculty assisted with the assembly of 800 lunch bags that included a sandwich, cookie, piece of fruit, encouraging note and a bottle of water.
Student Shares Life Flight Experience
Students in Houston have also been taking flight with helicopter trips thanks to the Memorial Hermann Medical Center. The video below comes courtesy of Sajan Tjohn who shared his experience of finding out first-hand what it would be like to be a flight nurse.

Race for the Cure®
Students and faculty from the Arlington, VA campus recently took part in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®. Energy levels were high and all participants were excited to get involved in the efforts to cure breast cancer.
Pearland Students Celebrate a Job Well Done
The first cohort of students through the Pearland, TX campus took a group shot to commemorate the completion of yet another course on their journey to become nurses. This high point comes just after campus celebrated its one year anniversary.
