Chamberlain Adds Second Campus in Houston Area

Chamberlain College of Nursing has announced its newest campus in Pearland, Texas. It is the 14th Chamberlain campus in the nation and second in Texas. Located at 12000 Shadow Creek Parkway, the new Pearland campus is in a community thriving with new healthcare facilities that will benefit future nurses as they begin their education and clinical experiences with Chamberlain.
"Located so close to the Medical Center, Pearland maintains a large footprint for folks involved in the healthcare field,” said state Rep. Ed Thompson (R-29) from Pearland. “Chamberlain College of Nursing is a great addition to our community and will be an important asset in satisfying the needs of the Medical Center, our reputable hospitals and other esteemed facilities located in our area."
Kacie A. Spencer, DNP, MSN, RN, has been appointed president of the new campus. Dr. Spencer has more than a decade of experience in clinical nursing and academics, including previous roles at Chamberlain: faculty chair and dean of academic affairs at the Arlington campus and, most recently, dean of academic affairs at the Houston campus.
The new campus offers an on-site Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program that can be completed in as few as three years of year-round study instead of the typical four years with summers off. It also features Chamberlain’s SIMCARE CENTER™ and a Center for Academic Success.
Classes will begin Sept. 1. The Pearland campus open house event for prospective students will be held at Chamberlain's Houston campus, located at 11025 Equity Drive, on July 10 from 4-7 p.m. and Aug. 14 from 4-7 p.m.
