How Long Does It Take to Earn My BSN From Chamberlain?
The Chamberlain Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program can be completed in as few as three years, and there are three completion options to choose from:
Campus Hybrid1
The hybrid option features in-person learning and online coursework. Classes are offered during weekdays, and you will complete simulation labs on campus. You will also attend your clinicals weekly. If you attend the Campus Hybrid option full time, you can earn your BSN in three years.
Evening-Weekend2
This program option offers you more flexibility to learn on your own schedule. The program features in-person and online coursework, with classes held on campus in the evenings and on weekends. Similarly, labs are also held in-person and virtually. And as for clinicals, they are held on campus, once a week. If you choose the Evening-Weekend option and attend full time, you can earn your BSN in three years.
Online
The online 3-year BSN option is designed for students who cannot easily commute to a Chamberlain campus. Coursework is completed 100% online, with online classes taking place during the week. While labs are hosted virtually, all online BSN students must complete in-person skills checks throughout their program. Clinical locations are available in more than 20 states. If you attend full time, the online BSN program can be completed in as few as three years.
How Do I Complete My BSN in Less Than Three Years?
There are a few ways to earn your BSN at Chamberlain in less than three years if you attend year-round and on a full-time schedule.
The RN to BSN program is delivered online and can be completed in one year. As a student in the RN to BSN program, you will complete three assignments per course, and you will not be required to take any exams — your proficiency is evaluated only through your coursework. If you are a practicing RN and cannot attend full time, you still have options. The program can be completed part time or one course at a time on a longer schedule.
If you completed a bachelor’s degree in a field other than nursing, you can transfer your undergraduate credits into the BSN Online Option and complete your degree faster. Depending on your experience, you may be able to skip some foundational coursework and get to nursing courses sooner than you would without transfer credits. If you transfer credits and complete the program on a full-time schedule, you will be on track to finish in less than three years.
