Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioners teach patients and their caregivers how to manage chronic conditions or diseases and management of acute conditions and can also perform check-ups, conduct tests, analyze results, prescribe medications and develop preventive care plans.
The Chamberlain Master of Science in Nursing program offers three Nurse Practitioner tracks, Adult-Gerontology Primary Care, Adult-Gerontology Acute Care and Family Nurse Practitioner.

Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Specialty Track
AGNP Acute Care Curriculum
Do you love working in exciting, fast-paced environments where no two days are the same? You’ll feel right at home in this track. It will shape you into an acute care specialist who is qualified to:
- Care for people with acute, chronic and critical illnesses
- Diagnose and treat a variety of health conditions through evidence-based practice
