Can you get financial aid for nursing school?

Does financial aid pay for nursing school?
Financial aid for nursing school can help pay for your enrollment. The amount of student financial aid is dependent upon several factors, including the type of financial aid that you qualify for. Request information or call 877-751-5783 to receive help from our student support advisors.

Can I get financial aid if I'm pursuing a Graduate Certificate and not a degree?
Yes, the certificate would allow you to receive financial aid if eligible.
Does financial aid cover my books?
It may, if you have more financial aid than charges for tuition and fees. There is a process for using financial aid to purchase books through the bookstore. We offer a school authorized spending limit of up to $750.

How will my financial aid be disbursed?
Disbursement takes place within the first several weeks of class. Assuming all documentation is complete, disbursements are usually complete within the first 2-3 weeks of classes.
What different payment plans do you offer to cover my remaining balance?
You can visit the Account Overview section within the My Chamberlain Community to see which payment plan options are available to you.
How much will I pay monthly?
Your estimated out of pocket costs and monthly payment for each session will be listed as "Remaining Investment" on your Estimated Financial Plan (EFP).
What is my loan amount?
This information can be found within your estimated financial plan (EFP). If you need assistance accessing or completing an EFP, we can connect you with a Student Finance Advisor.
If I am selected for verification, what is the procedure for submitting my missing documentation?
Tax documents or any supporting documentation can be uploaded to the Documents Center within the My Chamberlain Community.

There are instances where your financial aid eligibility, based off your FAFSA, may cover all expenses, depending on transferred credits and various situations. Can I know how much financial aid I'm going to receive before I apply?
Your financial aid eligibility is determined by your FAFSA. You can also view your Student Aid Report at any time on www.studentaid.gov to see how much you qualify for. Depending on where you are in the application process, you may also have access to your Estimated Financial Plan (EFP). Student Finance can help you with any detailed questions.
Can you see if my FAFSA was submitted?
We cannot see if your FAFSA has been submitted, but you can check your FAFSA's status at www.studentaid.gov. It usually takes 3-5 business days for your FAFSA to process once you add Chamberlain's school code.
When does the FAFSA show up on my account within the My Chamberlain Community?
It usually takes 3-5 business days for your FAFSA to process once you add Chamberlain's school code, and your FAFSA information will be available in your Estimated Financial Plan (EFP) at that time.
How do I accept my financial aid awards?
After the results of your FAFSA® are received and processed, the set of your eligible financial aid awards for the academic year will be visible in your student portal. While there are other steps you must complete to receive certain types of aid such as student loans, we assume that students want all of the aid offered. If you opt to reduce or eliminate an offered student loan amount, you can contact Student Finance Advising for assistance.
When and how do I complete my MPN, LEQ, or loan counseling?
After you have determined that you will be utilizing financial aid, your Loan Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note can be completed at www.studentaid.gov.
What if I choose not to accept my award after completing the FAFSA?
We can put you in contact with Student Finance Advising to assist you over the phone, or you can submit a case to Student Finance Advising via the Support tab within the My Chamberlain Community.
