Chamberlain University Opens New Campus in San Antonio, Texas

Chamberlain University is pleased to announce the opening of a new campus in San Antonio, Texas! This is Chamberlain’s fourth campus in Texas, and 22nd campus nationwide.
Located at 9810 Highway 151, the San Antonio campus will offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program that can be completed in as few as three years of year-round study, instead of the typical four years with summers off. Hands-on experience in both the Chamberlain SIMCARE CENTER™ and the on-site clinical setting allow nursing students to work side-by-side with faculty, mentors, peers, and experienced professional nurses as they refine their direct patient-care nursing skills.
The campus is now accepting applications for admission to fall semester classes, starting Oct. 28, 2019. Open houses for prospective students will be held on the following dates:
- Wednesday, August 28, from 5 - 7 pm
- Wednesday, October 2, from 5 - 7 pm
The campus will educate more nurses and to help meet the demand in the state, which is expected to have a shortage of 15,900 nurses by 2030.
“Expanding our footprint in Texas with Chamberlain’s new San Antonio campus will help educate nurses in an area of the country where there is great need,” said Dr. Karen Cox, Ph.D., R.N., FACHE, FAAN, president of Chamberlain University. “Nursing schools turn away tens of thousands of applicants every year because of space limitations. Chamberlain’s educational model and partnerships with clinical sites across the country put us in a unique position to enroll nursing students and help fill the gaps in the healthcare workplace.”
