Nursing Program in Miramar: a Hands-On BSN
At Chamberlain’s Miramar campus, you will get hands-on training in our SIMCARE CENTER™ and in our on-site clinical setting. As you work with fellow students, faculty, mentors, and seasoned registered nurses, you learn important skills in direct patient-care nursing. The SIMCARE CENTER™ features a wide range of simulated care, and the center’s high-tech patient manikins will help you pick up vital nursing skills. Patient simulators have bodily functions and show vital signs, and they demonstrate a variety of symptoms. The SIMCARE CENTER™ provides a safe student health care setting where you can sharpen your nursing skills before moving on to human patients in the clinicals portion of the Chamberlain Miramar curriculum.

A Flexible BSN Option
BSN Degree Program—Evening/Weekend Option
Have you considered pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, but a traditional school schedule is holding you back? The Miramar BSN Evening/Weekend Option may be a great fit if you have a family, daytime job (part-time rather than full-time employment is strongly recommended), and/or other responsibilities preventing you from being able to attend the traditional BSN degree program during the day.

BSN Degree Program—Evening/Weekend Option FAQs
The Miramar BSN degree program—Evening/Weekend option is designed to meet the needs of individuals who require an alternative schedule. Night and weekend nursing school students complete courses outside the typical classroom schedule while still receiving the same level of support and resources as traditional weekday students.
Whichever path you take at the Chamberlain Miramar campus, your advantages include:
- A Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)-accredited BSN degree program
- Nursing courses during your first year

Weekend and night nursing program courses are limited to students enrolled in a Miramar evening/weekend cohort. Students in evening/weekend cohorts are limited to enrolling in courses during the evening/weekend only.
The number of total credit hours for completion of the evening/weekend option is equal to the number required to complete the BSN degree program. The Miramar Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program consists of a minimum of 122 credit hours: 56 credit hours in general education and 66 credit hours in the nursing major.

As a student in our Miramar nursing campus location, you will have all the tools and resources you need to prepare for the NCLEX®. Assessments, extra help, simulations, and tutorials are readily accessible and proven effective. Passing the NCLEX® is one of the final hurdles to jump before becoming a registered nurse.
Our BSN program in the Miami area has many tutoring and academic support services. The Center for Academic Success (CAS) at the Miramar campus offers academic support, personal time with tutors, extra study materials, workshops, and more
Hands-on nursing experience is gained in both the Chamberlain SIMCARE CENTER ™ and on-site clinical settings, giving students the chance to work side-by-side with faculty, peers and experienced professional nurses while refining their direct patient-care nursing skills. Online general education and nursing courses may be offered within the BSN curriculum plan. In order to assist in successful completion of online coursework, an online readiness assessment is an integral part of the admission process. Based upon the outcome of the online readiness assessment, skill building activities may be required.

Prospective Miramar nursing students apply for admission by filling out an application and then meeting with a Chamberlain Miramar admissions representative. When all admission criteria are satisfied, prospective students are told in writing of their admission status to a specific Chamberlain program and cycle.
