Nursing Program in Irving, Texas: A Hands-On BSN
At Chamberlain’s nursing school near Dallas, you will have hands-on training in our SIMCARE CENTER™ and in our on-site clinical labs. You will work with classmates, faculty, mentors, and knowledgeable registered nurses as you learn skills in direct patient-care nursing. The SIMCARE CENTER™ features various types of simulated care, and you have the opportunity to learn fundamental nursing skills on high-tech patient manikins. Patient simulators have bodily functions and vital signs, and they can show a wide variety of symptoms. You will hone your nursing skills in a safe health care setting before advancing to real-life patients in the clinicals portion of the Chamberlain Irving curriculum.

3-Year BSN Program
Students have zero prerequisites to complete before starting the Chamberlain University College of Nursing's Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program. Students can enter the workforce more quickly by earning their BSN degree in as few as eight semesters, or three years of year-round study.

BSN Degree Program—Evening/Weekend Option
The Chamberlain Irving campus offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree Program Evening/Weekend option for Irving-campus students. Students are provided the flexibility to complete courses outside of the typical classroom schedule while still receiving the same level of support and resources as traditional students.
The number of total credit hours for completion of the evening/weekend option is equal to the number required to complete the BSN degree program.

BSN Degree Program—Evening/Weekend Option FAQs
The Irving, TXBSN degree program—Evening/Weekend option is designed to meet the needs of individuals who require an alternative schedule. Night and weekend nursing school students complete courses outside the typical classroom schedule whilestill receiving the same level of support and resources as traditional weekday students.

Weekend and night nursing program courses are limited to students enrolled in an Irving evening/weekend cohort. Students in evening/weekend cohorts are limited to enrolling in courses during the evening/weekend only.
The total credit hours needed to complete the evening/ weekend option is the same as the daytime, weekday option—each BSN path at Chamberlain Irving requires the same classes and credits. Both routes can get you a BSN in three years, and both have the same resources and knowledgeable faculty. The evening/ weekend option, however, includes weekend clinicals and the flexibility to manage personal life, school, and work.

Chamberlain University College of Nursing’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) curriculum is designed to develop students’ ability to learn and apply the fundamentals of nursing. The focus is on conceptual knowledge, while also providing nursing students opportunities to translate theory into practice.

Online general education and nursing courses may be offered within the BSN curriculum plan. In order to assist in successful completion of online coursework, an online readiness assessment is an integral part of the admission process. Based upon the outcome of the online readiness assessment, skill building activities may be required.

Students spend two weeks in their location of choice—and a variety of locations are available. Community and multiculturalism health courses are completed by participating in the program.

Prospective nursing students begin the admission process by first completing an application and then interviewing with a Chamberlain admission representative.
