Tammy M. Keesey, DNP, RN, CENP, NE-BC, FACHE
Tammy Keesey is the president of Chamberlain University College of Nursing, St. Louis campus. In her more than 26 years of nursing, Tammy has staff nurse experience in critical care and emergency nursing, clinical instruction at the university level, emergency management, clinical leadership and executive roles in hospital operations.
Prior to joining Chamberlain University, Tammy was the Nurse Executive at Shriners Children’s St. Louis where she was responsible for all clinical oversight and hospital operations, including strategic planning and project management. She was an adjunct professor at the University of Missouri St. Louis, instructing baccalaureate candidates in medical-surgical clinical rotations. Prior to that, she served in both clinical and progressive leadership roles within the SSM system in St. Louis, Missouri.
Tammy is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and a member of the Missouri Organization of Nurse Leaders, American Organization of Nurse Leaders, and the American Nurses Association. She has served on various board and planning committees throughout her career and is also certified in LEAN project management and a Master Trainer for TEAMStepps.
Tammy graduated from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University) in Kirksville, MO where she earned a Bachelor of Nursing degree. She has earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from University of Phoenix and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of St. Augustine, Florida. She holds her professional nursing license in Missouri.
